This is a deluxe edition of the 2001 album, it includes bonus tracks, a bonus dvd with a live 16 track set and its a digipack. These guys are probably the best scum rock band around and the fury of tunes like Run My World and Sabu provr it. Those familiar with rape rock/shock rock/destructo rock/speed rock will be extremely satisfied. The dvd presents some classic tracks like Violence Now, F ALL YALL and Jeff Clayton cutting his own forehead and bleeding during Babyface Killer (nothing spectacular or new for the genre). WARNING: Antiseen is is scum rock! They intend to be offensive and disrespectful. They sing against homeless people, vegans, immigrants, etc. If you take it seriously, you know nothing; grab your Noam Chosky and Crass cds and cry! Take it from a Latino guy.

I cant believe this band is not as famous as it should be!Is it because they are Canadians?Anyway, here we have 15 tracksof fast rockabilly blended with sexy burlesque. The music explores psychobilly and some good surf riffs but the visual show steals your attention. Scareolineis the female slap bassistwhile Mr John Bates palys the guitar. I wished the bass had a firmer presence in their sound, only a few intros expose Scareolines talent and speed.This act is a must see! The atmosphere, the choreography and the musicwill capture you. I think they are about to release new material. Female up right bassist? Live dancers? Give them a go!

Its always a pleasure to listen (let alone review) the freshest Meterors material. These guys invented the genre over 30 years ago, that obviously gives them advantage and authority over any7 other band that has the guts to call itself Psychobilly.. These days everybody wants to be retro or billy. The Meteors prove this is not a fashion trend or a themed party, this is PURE PSYCHOBILLY! Obscure lyrics sang by a rough voice, unbelievable rythms and the slap bass make this album a black pearl (like any other Meteors release). Reviewing this band is just absurd, they are always a perfect 10. Just get your claws on this and enjoy tunes like The Phantom Rider, My Slaugtering Ways or Powder Pain ans Misery.

Few times ive been this impressed by a release. The Meteors frontman plays with genres outside psychobilly backed by differents musiciians. In tracks like The Lost (P) or Nick and the Preacher youll be able to enjoy his slapbass and drums playing. Rockabilly, psychobilly, surf and a little countrymixed with male and female vocals keep boredom away. Mr Fenech is working in the release of the next Meteors cd and his new solo cd, so expect them very soon. With this maneverything can happen, he has covered The Ramones, Judas Priests, Anti Nowhere League, Rolling Stones, etc before, here he presents a flawless vbersion of Ring of Fire. For the close minded, Simon and The Prince appear in a copule of tracks.

I had huge expectations over this band. The only all female psychobilly band from USA, Iwas disappointed. The voice is fine, different from acts like Mad Marge or Horror Pops but it becomes repetetive during the album. Im sorry I missed their debut cd, I bet its better than this 2nd effort. The tracks keep a amid tempo beat, never becoming quite fast. They cover a Sloppy Seconds tune (man , I hate punk rock) and with al respect, Im not impressed by the Daniel Deleon guest appearence. They sounded better in the Go Cat Go tribute. Theater of Blood is the High light here.

TRA play a classic style of instrumenteal surf rock and their cover versions of The Bel Airs and The Surtones demonstrate those orthodox tendencies. Being Canadians as maple or Blod Shot Bill, one of the founders has the legacy of Huevos Rancheros experience. They even supported the Supersuckers when they were beginning. At some point TRA reminded me of Los Straitjacketsin their early days. I know theres got to be variety within an album but I wished all the songs had the intensity or speed of Speed Wobble,Cupcakes di Milo, Kamikaze or Cabbage Drable. Kep your eyes and ears open for more Mint records releases.

Im glad to see this band has grown internally and musically. Losing 2 members is not easy for a trio, but Kim Nekroma solved that. In my own opinion they sound slightly different since their American debut. This release is not as energicas previous efforts, maybe the line up was still puting things together. Th instrumental Panic at the Morgue is a solidstatement, demostrating the experience and practice achieved by Kim thru the years.If you are a regular at www.wreckingpit.com , you know everybody gives him a hard time and picks on him. He has always taken it as a joke and continues to post every now and then, not playing Rock Star like other dudes. Wether you like him or not, you must admit hes one hell of a bassist.

Emobilly? Almost! Some tracks sound like Social Distortionand a specific intro was merely Depeche Mode! The intensity starts with the intro and dies after tyhe 1st song. The rest is mellow with a few sparks, falling away from your interest. Jeff Roffredo is a grat bassist but cant save the cd on his own.Tiger Army has gotten worse with every album, Psychobilly is open but I cant imagine psychos wrecking to this

Once again the deep voice add an eerie elementtaht sets them appart from modern billy acts.Im glad to se they didnt lose their passion with the departure o a founding member. Mexico has a huge surf rock scene that has been growing stronger with the years. Bnds like Los Esquizitos, Malibu Pina, Lost Acapulco and Senor Bikini were the firstones I heard from that area. Los Magnificos present a retro sound packed with an organ that will take you back to the 60s. Their lyricsrevolve aroundsex and stripprs with humor. Their sound is ok, but they can progress more with time. This is from 2005, I dont know if they released something else since then.

This is supposed to be experimental psychobilly from the Czech Republic. It sure has a firm garage sound with some surf rock influences and horror topics but I wouldnt call it psychobilly. The release lacks fast songs again! In fact, a couple of them are too slow for my own musical taste.They reminded me of ealy Cramps or The Meteors From Beyond. Its great to discover bands from different countries with new tendencies, but if you are an alod fashioned psycho, you might not enjoy this.

This is the 3 rd album by a horror rock band influenced by Misfits, Ramones, Slayer, Type 0 Negative, Samhain, The Cramps, Sisters of Mercy and Bahaus. Their music is sometimes too melodic and reminded of more recent fellow horror punkers. Apparently Blitzkid had a rockabilly approach on previous efforts ; but I didn’t recognize much of it here (they did use a stand up bass on The Trunk). Terror in the Hanted House is one of the best tracks in this release: great eerie rhythm and keyboards. Another highlight is the Blondies cover ´Bloodletting´ with a firm and constant bass. Since Blitzkid has deep punk roots, it can a be a great start for new kids to explore psychobilly later, but Im afraid some veterans wont be so excited. Again a whole lot better than AFI, Goblins or Alkaline Trio but not as good as Misfits.
Este es el 3er album por una banda influenciada por Misfits, Ramones, Slayer, Type 0 Negative, Samhain, The Cramps, Sisters of Mercy y Bahaus. Su musica es a veces muy melodica y me recordo otras bandas de horror punk mas recientes. Aparentemente Blitzkid tenia una aproximación rockabilly en anteriores esfuerzos, pero no reconoci mucho de ello aca ( aunque si usaron un contrabajo en The Trunk). Terror in the Haunted House es uno de los mejores tracks en este lanzamiento:gran ritmo misterioso y teclados. Otro punto alto es es el cover de Blondie ¨Bloodletting´ con un bajo firme y constante. Ya que Blitzkid tiene profundas raices punk, es un gran comienzo para que los jóvenes exploren el psychobilly después, pero me temo que los veteranos no estaran tan entusiasmados. De nuevo, mucho mejor que AFI, Goblins o Alkaline Trio, no tan bueno como Misfits.

Here we have 57 bands paying tribute to scum rock legend Antiseen. This compilation features well known acts like Hanks III, Rancid Vat, The Nerds, Texas Terri Bomb, Jeff Dahl, Zeke, The Boils, Hammerlock, The Bulimics and Chaos UK. Merle Allin wrote some liner notes but The Murder Junkies aren’t here. Most of the songs are violent, simple and fun with clever yet direct lyrics as the scum tradition dictates. These bands have a constant sound but the album never gets repetitive or monotonous. This is one of the best tribute cds Ive ever listened to and its artwork is brilliant. If only TKO Records released some Psychobilly . Wait! Theres an Antiseen/ Demented Are Go split in the works, sweet! PS: Bands Ive never heard before but truly impressed me here: Hellstomper, The F. Kings, Drat!, Simon Stokes, Bootleg Bill, Blood Mary, Genocide Super Stars, The Hookers, and XXX Smut, too bad the booklet didn’t offer any info on any of the bands involved.

Esta recopilación incluye artistas conocidos como Hanks III, Rancid Vat, The Nerds, Texas Terri Bomb, Jeff Dahl, Zeke, The Boils, Hammerlock, The Bulimics y Chaos UK. Merle Allin escribio unas lineas aca pero los Murder Junkies no aparecen. La mayoria de las canciones son violentas, simples y graciosas con letras astutas pero directas, como lo dica la tradición scum. Estas bandas tienen un sonido constante pero el album nunca se vuelve repetitivo o monotono. Este es uno de los mejores discos tributo que he escuchado y el arte es brillante. Si tan solo TKO Records lanzara Psychobilly. Un momento! Hay un split Antiseen/ Demented Are Go preparandose, que bien! This is a simple record: one guy playing the guitar, the drums, the harmonica and singing. The sound is basic, just as rockabilly is supposed to be. This Canadian belongs to the good old days of Sun Records. I didnt even miss the upright bass, pure primitive rock n roll with western and hillbilly influences. Th copy I got is a very decent DIY product. Who needs to marry a millionaire label with such great harmonica solos?

This album has western, rockabilly and folk tendencies. It follows the path of guys like Johnny Cash and Mike Ness with a more open, almost commercial sound. Shaun Kamas voice is very emotional, it perfectly fits the guitars in nostalgia. The musicians are experienced guys that have played with Bob Dylan, Oingo Boingo, Rob Zombie, Ozzy, Fishbone, The Dwarves and 45 Grave. Guess who wrote and sings the last best song! Sparky!!! From Demented are Go! That song alone is worth the price of the cd. This is an elaborated release full of sentimental tunes but ends with a great Psychobilly track, beautiful.

You might remember this band from the Stray Cats tribute. The fact that they have a female singer should be an interesting and exciting element; unfortunately it takes them to similar levels as No Doubt, Save Ferris and Horror Pops. The voice will confuse you! As a new american psychobilly band its nice to see it keeps an evil horror edge. The guitars and the bass are solid and even save the album at times. If youre considering Horror Pops, buy this instead, trust me.

El hecho de que tengan una vocalista deberia ser un elemento excitanse, desafortunadamente los lleva a niveles similares que No Doubt, Save Ferris y Horror Pops. La voz te confundira. Moonshine Reunion plays good old rockabilly with country influences. The bass has a lot of weight thru the record and keeps your attention without being excesive or fast. The music makes you wanna buy Tequila, put on a hat and call your ex lovers. Cowpunk? Country punk?Aggro rock? You wont be dissapointed by this trio. Bands like this keep diversity alive and boredom away.
Moonshine Reunion tocan viejo rockabilly con influencias country. El bajo tiene mucho peso durante el album y mantiene tu atencion sin ser excesivo o rapido. La musica hace que queras comprar Tequila, ponerte un sombrero y llamar a tus ex. Cowpunk? Country punk?Aggro rock? Este trio no te decepcionara. This band is different from anything youve heard before; female vocals, Discharge like riffs, industrial influences and psycho slap bass. The track Down the Hill is a great example of their talent andtheir unique obscure style. The cover The Boots exposes a mature sound earned during their years in the hardcore/metal movement. Dont expect ultra fast songs here, this deep album manages a constant line that escapes from standards. Great creative album.
Esta banda es diferente a todo lo que hayas escuchado; voces femeninas, riffs a lo Discaharge, influencias industrial y un contrabajo psycho. El track Down the Hill es un gran ejemplo de sutalento y estilo obscuro y unico. El cover These Boots expone un sonido maduro ganado durante sus anos en el movimiento hardcore/metal. No esperes temas ultrarapidos, este album profundo mantiene una linea que escapa a los standards. Gran album creativo.

AAAH! Some dirty old fasioned ugly European Psychobilly! I must recognize in shame Im not too familiar with this act, but I can do tell theyre great. The singer and the bass player bring the tracks to new limits. Legal Age Countdown mixes humor and violence, simply brilliant. The band can be compoared to other legens as Asmodeus and The Caravans. These Wildmen even had the guts to include a cover of Slow Down (The Meteors!!!), its ok cuz they do it in their very own way. The cd has a cd rom track for Get in the Pit. Once again, European bands prove their psycho supremacy.
AAHH! Un poco de psychobilly europeo sucio, feo y a la antigua. Debo reconocer con pena que no estoy muy familiarizado con esta banda, pero si puedo decir que son geniales. El cantante y el bajista llevan los temas a nuevos limites. Legal Age Countdown mezcla humor con violencia, simplemente brillante. La banda puede ser comparada con otras leyendas como Asmodeus y Caravans. These guys are from Israel and invented the genre Surcore, but I wouldnt call Surfin Bird (60s Trashmen) a pop song. This is their 3rd album, motivated by vintage Tv Shows. The music is heavier than the average surf rock but it still captures the spirit of instrumental guitar anthems. At times the Astroglides sound like the Ventures, Man or Astroman and even the Selecter when they covered the James Bond theme.
Estos tipos son de Israel y dicen haber inventado el genero Surfcore, pero yo no llamaria a Surfin Bird (60s Trashmen) una cancion pop. Este es su 3er album, motivado por viejos temas de television. La musica es mas pesada que el surf rock promedio pero logra capturar el espiritu de himnos de guitarra instrumentales. Its great to see the worldwide surf rock scene growing each day, I knew it was huge in Mexico but The Astroglides really taught me about globalization. This is the bands latest release (under their very own label) and it falls under a more classic style with metal influences as is their trademark. This cd is not about tv themes anymore, but these guitar riffs make think of Q. Tarantinoi directing a killing spree scene. Once again, I fell in love with girl from the album cover.
Esc bueno ver la escena mundial de surf rock creciendo cada dia. Sabia que era grande en Mexico, pero esta banda me enseno de globalizacion. Este es su mas reciente lanzamiento (bajo su propio sello) y cae en una categoria mas clasica, siempre con influencias metal. Este cd no es mas de temas de tv, pero me hace pensar en Q. Tarantino dirigiendo una escena de asesinatos. Una vez mas, me enamore de la chica de la portada.

This isnt the usual surf rock release: its experimental, b horror oriented and its not instrumental music. Of course the guitars play the main role here and completely steal the show; slightly supported by the drums. The titles were chosen with style and some will give you a good laugh (Sex Android,Zombie Drag Queen, Night of the Surfin Dead). The vocals arent really unique but perfectly capture their Goth influences. Peter Di Stefano (Porno for Pyros) collaborated on the title track and Geza X did some producing. These 19 songs explore new terrains for surf rock and thats refreshing for any genre. Before you criticize this band, remember;its from Hawaii, you cant get anymore surf than that.
Este no es surf rock usual: es experimental, con orientacion horror b y no es instrumental. claro que las guitarras juegan el rol principal aca y se roban el show levemente apoyadas por la bateria. Los titulos fueron escogidos con estilo y algunos te haran reir (Sex Android,Zombie Drag Queen, Night of the Surfin Dead). Las voces no son unicas pero reflejan bien sus influencias Goth.Peter Di Stefano (Porno for Pyros) colaboro en el tema principal y Geza X produjo un poco.Estas 19 piezas exploran terrenos nuevos para el surf rock y eso es refrescante para cualquier genero. Good humor, a little surf and rockabilly is what these arachnids present. Its hard to have a unique style in a country with over 50 years of rock n roll tradition, this record reminded me of Reverend Horton Heats Space Heater and the voice sounded really good. The slap bass has a classic rythm, but so does the rest of the album. Youll swear youve heard this stuff before somewhere. Check out thir site for nice merchandise at low prices.Some bands build their sound thru the years, just like Social Distortion.
Buen humor un poco de surf y rockabilly es lo que presentan estos aracnidos. Es dificil tener un estilo unico en un con pais con mas de 50 anos de tradicion rock n roll, este cd me recordo el Space Heater de Reverend Horton Heat y la voz sono realmente bien. El contrabajo tiene un ritmo clasico, pero tambien el resto del album. Juraras que has oido esto antes en otro lugar. Visita su site, tienen mercaderia barata. Algunas bandas forjan su sonido con los anos, como Social Distortion.

Alternative TV is a mix of the Sex Pistols music with a Bad Religion attitude, and theyve been around since similar days. These guys are veterans in the punk rock and alternative scenes, the vocalist Mark Perry has been featured in Latin American zines. This band has a strong 70s punk root but show more mature lyrics and vision. Now I Wanna Sniff Some Glue is a 3 track single with obvious Ramones cover. Viva la Rock n Roll is a live album recorded in USA, Germany, France and England. Revolution is a studio effort and expresses their progress better.
Alternative TV es una mezcla de la music de Sex Pistols con la ctitud de Bad Religion y han estado tocando desde dias similares. Estos tipos son veteranos en las escenas punk y alternativa, el vocalista Mark Perry ha aparecido en zine latinos. The early 90s were hard times for the music in general, but this album was released in 1990. The tracks are long but never boring, you can even smell the intensity. The vocalist Tony McMillan is brilliantand songs like Devils Lair, The Rats and Back to the Ball show his writing talent. The Krewmen helped build the Psychobilly scene we enjoy today, they have a classic sound with horror and sci fi lyrics. Wonderful!
Los inicios de los 90s fueron una epoca dura para la musica en general, pero este album salio en 1990. Los tracks son largos pero nunca aburridos, hasta podes oler su intensidad. This is a 1991 release, The Krewmen deserve a place in History just like Demented are Go, Guanabatz and obviously The Meteors; they started way before the 90s.The slap bass is outrageous and the vocals provide the right atmosphere for each track. I dare you to dislike songs like Cyborg or The Presence. The artwork is minimal, but you cant reject this cd.

Released in 94, Singled Out consists of 11 songs; 5 are covers and 2 were heard before in Final Adventures. The Paint it Balck and Stepping Stone versions with the Nightmare Man and Legend of the Piper originals are what make this album a treasure. The Krewmen keep making better and better records each time and I bet theyre a blast live! Why are we reviewing these old cds now? Well, the kind folks at Lost Moment Records sent them last week, THANKS!

Hardcore ska punk from the UK, closer to Less Than Jake or Buck O Nine than to Voodoo Glow Skulls. By their sound youd think theyre on Epitaph or Asian Man, but theyre more serious than the average melodic bands. This would have made a bigger impact a few years ago, and it was available back then but only at gigs. These guys will soon be produced by Joe Gittleman (Bosstones), they have to be good.If you like hardcore/ska/punk (I certainly dont!),this is for you.

Two of the band member have played in Tiger Army (yet Nick 13 doesnt appear in the thank you list) but the bassist is Jeff Roffredo, yes! The same from Cosmic Voodoo. The band expresses a little melodic horror punk influence but the rock n roll guitars, the dark voices and their innovation puts them in the right path. I liked the Spanish lyric fragments, they add a confuse mysterious twist; just listen to Dia de los Muertos. This cd also includes the video for Devil Girl From Outer Space. Much better than Tiger Army, not as good as the disbanded Cosmic Voodoo yet.

La banda expresa una influencia horror punk melodica, pero las guitarras rock n roll, las voces obcsuras y su innovacion los ponen en el camino correcto. Mucho mejor que Tiger Army, no tan bueno como Cosmic Voodoo aun.

Ahh! Rockabilly from Holland. This trio reminded me of the voice of the Spanish band P.P.M. Thirteen songs with great guitars and catchy rythms. The intro track is amazing and the few female vocals sounded fine! Rocker Arms manage to add a little horror to their basic almost primitive rock n roll a la Mystery Gang Trio style. With tracks like Ghost, French Kiss and Leather Purse the band should get a bigger audience. This cd gets better everytime I play it!
Ahh! Rockabilly de Holanda. Este trio me recordo a la voz de la banda espanola P.P.M. Trece temas con grandes guitarras y ritmos pegajosos. El track intro es fabuloso y las pocas voces femeninas sonaron bien! Rocker Arms logra anadir un poco de horror a su basico casi primitivo rock n roll al estilo de Mystery Gang Trio. Con piezas como Ghost, French Kiss y Leather Purse la banda debe tener una audiencia mayor. Este cd se pone mejor cada vez que lo oigo.

This book is about the current tattoo scene in Sweden and it sure reflects the art and ideas of 9 great artists:Carl Bjorkman, Drew Horner, Johan Lasand, Mats Lyborg, Patrik ´Circle´ Malbeck, Carlie Nilsson, Per Soovik, Max Stalhammar and Bruno Todisco. A small biography, some flash and tattoos give us a concept of each individual. Most of them are in their 30s and enjoy old school American or traditional Aian styles. This is by far the best tattoo art document Ive read in a long time (remember I work at a tattoo studio too!) It is designed in a big format, exhibits art and has an impressive quality for the reader. Istared for hours at the pictures, beautiful! There are also a couple of stories about international legends like Ron Ackers, Horiyoshi and the Lieu family. I believe the Cultural and Tourism departments in every country should support efforts like this. The only problem is: its a 1000 limited edition; you cant buy it at gas stations or book stores. We cant really rate these cds. Marvel is a pop punk, pop rock trio from Sweden ( not really Hellvis material). The sound is mature, somertimes too slow. Unleashed! is a cover ep, offering versions of Kiss, Bon Jovi and even George Clinton. The artwork is excellent, I bet fans of 70s or 80s rock will like Marvel. Its just not our style (scum rock, rockabilly, surf rock, psychobilly, swing)
Realmente no podemos calificar estos cds. Marvel es un trio pop rock pop punk de Suecia (no material de Hellvis). El sonido es maduro, a veces muy lento. Unleashe es un ep de covers, ofrecinedo versiones de Kiss, Bon Jovi y hasta George Clinton. This band was formed by members of Demented are Go,enough reason to check it out! Their style reminds you of Jello Biafra and the Police Truck cover helps. The album has an aggressive energy fueled by veteran musicians; there are no experiments here, they know what they do. The slap bass and the voice add definition to this material, it mixes the American and European psychobilly tendencies. If you like Mad Sin, youll want to give this cd a try. Songs like Striptease and If I Was Satan blend punk, metal and psychobilly with a diabolical twist.

This mini album is Lucky 13s debut, it was back in 2000. Their main sound is rockabillywith some surf rock melodies. Like Bonnie and Clyde, the male and female vocals provide freshness to their music. There are only 6 tracks here and a couple of them are slow, you cant really taste their intensity, but this is a good appetizer for their material.

The first thing that impressed me about this album was the bass, and its not even a slap bass. Theres a 4 year span between releases; the sound shows more compromise and growth. Once again the band explores surf rock chords and rockabilly but you can sense some psycho around too; especially during the title track. Lucky 13 reminded me of bands like Frantic Flintstones and Surfin Carambas. This record also includes In the Bar as a bonus video track, so you can check Ani Romances beauty and bass skills!
Lo primero que me impresiono de est e album fue el bajo y ni siquiera es un contrabajo. Hya un lapso de 4 anos entre discos; el sonido muestra mas compromiso y crecimiento. Una vez mas la banda explora cuerdas surf rock y rockabilly, pero tambien podes sentir cierto psycho alrededor; especialmente en la pieza del titulo. Lucky 13 me recordo a bandas como Frantic Flintsones y Surfin Carambas. Este album tambien incluye In the Bar cmo video bonus para que podas ver la belleza de Ani Romance y sus destrezas con el bajo.

Bands like CosmiC Voodoo make you keep the faith in American psychobilly. This is a 92-97 compilation; years before the Epitath and Hellcat fashionbilly. The slap bass is incredible; ultra fast and firm during the whole album. The guitars provide great company creating and interesting horror concept. These guys sure broke standards, some tunes are over 4 minutes long and they even played as a duo (shared stages with The Krewmen and The Meteors). Unfortunately, the band came to an end; I hope each member forms an act with the same energy. Tracks like Vertigo, Pumpin- Head, Necroland, Old Man in the Woods and I Am the Moon remain as lessons for the future psycho generations in America.

This band plays under the influences of basic rock n roll, surf rock, psychobilly and country. Imagine the voice of Demented are Go with the music of early The Cramps (add slap bass). At times the rythms can be a little repetitive and this is a short album (30 minutes). I like the fact that they play wearing suits and ties, adding visual elements to the shows is a great idea and that model from the cover is so pretty it hurts! Reminded me of Bettie Page. The guitars are the main attraction and base in this release.

Oh no!Please my evil sweet Lucifer, not another Psychobilly comp! That was my first thought when I saw this cd, but you cant really blame me for that wrong idea: there are more psycho comps in the market than hairs in my head. Soundtrack to Oblivion is different: it offers 21 tracks and 85% are previously unreleased, live or hard to find elsewhere. There are some well know bands here like Caravans, Batmobile, Gutter Demons, Asmodeus and Barnyard Ballers, sounding great as usual. You will also find smaller names with a promising sound like Rancho Deluxe, Meathookers and Knock Em Stiff. I missed some zombiebilly or metalbilly (as some call it) but this is a good record. Remember, never judge a book by its cover.

I really enjoyed the oulaw atmosphere this band carries. Songs about desperation and sad lives without sounding punk rock. The slap bass is beautiful in Jailhouse Tattoo and Zodiacs intros and during Seet Little Succubus, the vocals are strong. Their formula is way predictable: each song has a chorus repeated after a few lines; but their lyrics are clever and concise. This is a short album too, it left me wanting more; apparently the band will release a new record with Kaiser Records soon.
En verdad disfrute la atmosfera forajida que acarrea esta banda. Canciones sobre deseperacion y vidas tristes sin sonar punk rock. El contrabajo es bello en las intros de Jailhouse Tattoo y Zodiac y durante Sweet Little Succubus, las voces sobn fuertes. Su formula es muy predecible: cada tema tiene un coro que se repite tras unas cuantas lineas; pero las letras son astutas y concisas. Este es un album corto tambien, me dejo deseando mas; aparentemente la banda sacara pronto un album con Kaiser Records.

In my humble opinion, this German trio chose an awful name for the band; but the music is perfect. It really is authentic Psychobilly with no signs of punk rock or metal elements anywhere. Their style mixes 50s rock n roll and horror with awesome vocals (think Demented Are Gos again), very influenced by old school Psychobilly. Songs like Killing Kind of Love and Record Machine just couldnt sound better. Great artwork, lyrics and music, and this is only a debut album!
En mi humilde opinion este trio aleman escogio un pesimo nombre para la banda, pero la musica es excelente. En realidad es autentico Psychobilly sin signos de elementos punk rock o metal por ningun lado.Su estilo mezcla el horror y rock n roll de los 50s con geniales voces (pensa Demented Are Go otra vez), muy influenciado por el psychobilly de la vieja escuela. Temas como Killing Kind of Love y Record Machine no podrian sonar mejor. Gran arte, leteras y musica, y este es solo un album debut!

Weve waited for this release for some time now. What we have here is 15 bands ( Mostly American) covering songs by rockabilly legends (and psychobilly influence) Stray Cats. There are a few nice surprises here: Reel Big Fish joins the psychos and forgets its ska for a while; doing a swingy version of Stray Cat Strut (remember that Cherry Poppin Daddies started playing ska), Os Catalepticos do Bring it Back Again their own style after calling it quits last year and Thee Merry Widows (all female psycho band) finally plays in a cd we can all get! Other bands worth mentioning are: Batmobile, The Astounding Roy Gorbisons, The Hellbillys, Shark Soup, Koffin Kats and Mad Marge and the Stone Cutters. Even the albums original artwork was done by G-Lerm (Chernobillies lead singer). The one fact I didnt like was The Rocketz adding new lyrics and singing about Iraq. Did they forget that Psychobilly is political free music?

Hay unas cuantas sorpresas aqui: Reel Big Fish se une a los psychos y olvida su ska por un rato; haciendo una version swing de Stray Cat Strut (recorda que Cherry Poppin Daddies empezaron tocando ska), Os Catalepticos tocan Bring it Back Again a su estilo despues de haberse deshecho el ano pasado y Thee Merry Widows ( banda psycho femenina) finalmente tocan en un cd que todos podemos tener. Most of the material is closer to punk rock, but Graveyard Tree III exposes the bands true obscure potential. A great option if you wanna check out the North American scene and sound!

This is the effort of just one guy! Garage rock n roll with funny angry lyrics. The guitars are brilliant but simple. You can sense some rockabilly and country influences in some tracks. My karmas gonna find you is one of the best moments in this release. The whole concept reminds me of the Jacknife Powerbombs when they were good. I just wish this was a full lenght!
Este es el esfuerzo de un solo tipo! Rock n rool de garage con letras furiosas y comicas.. Las guitarras son brillantes pero simples. Their psychobilly style is rapid and aggressive, without exaggerating into metal.One song did sound like Rob Zombie, you choose if thats a good thing or not! Definately, Thumbscrew is the best track here, it just explodes in uour face and prepares you for the rest. Great job!
Recuerdo a estos tipos por los discos Heel Erg Punk en Tocado Records. Su sonido es mas maduro ahora y canciones como Hellschool y Hate lo prueban. Su estilo de psychobilly es rapido y agresivo sin exagerarlo en el metal. Una cancion sono a Rob Zombie, vos escoges si eso es algo bueno o no. Definitivamente Thumbscrew es el mejor tema aca, simplemente explota en tu cara y te prepara para el resto. Gran trabajo!

The Caravans were formed twenty three years ago and they still have the right attitude and energy to release this kind of psychobilly. The guitars and stand up bass mate here, not just complement each other, that keeps this cd away from boredom. Its hard to pick a fovorite track with such well balanced material. Try to catch them live and look for previous material.

This is a great punk rock album, unfortunately we are not a punk rock site. These guys sound different from their beautiful demo, the sound is neat but the music now borders with hardcore; a saturated style. If you like raw music, engines and rock n roll; I strongly recommend you their demo.

Its a good thing Shakeout decided to play again. Surf rythms, love stories and fast rockabilly influence this release. The vocals and the bass are quit impressive, obviously devoted to rock n roll. Who else can play a Green Day cover and make it decent to listen to? England is full of surprises.

This is a weird album. It mixes hillbilly, country, punk and metal; with banjo strings. Its very refreshing to find bands willing to try something different. They even have male and female vocals plus their own all girl chorus dancers. Give it a try!

Wow! These 3 Australians really impressed me. Surf tunes, horror themes and a dark attitude make this release a jewel. Ive kept it in my stereo for 3 weeks! The year 2005 was tough: Os Catalepticos disbanded and Horrorpops relesed their second album, but with bands like Zombie Ghost Train, the future of Psychobilly is safe. They even cover Johnny Cash with an obscure twist, perfect! This album is a must!

I always wondered what would have happened if GG Allin played Psychobilly; now I have a good answer. Rough vocals and violent lyrics mixed with a good stand up bass, strong guitars and country influences. Remember Bloodstains (Agent Orange)? Well, this Arizona band plays it with macabre passion. This is the true American Psychobilly. I just hope they find a firm line up and have a solid presence in the scene.

One can always tell when a band is from Europe. Their sound is more mature and strict. Asmodeus proves it in this release, a big step to gain more fans and expose their style worldwide. Some guitars reminded me of their fellow citizens The Cenobites ( Rotterdam) and their mid tempo tunes, but there are some fast furious tracks for all tastes. Thanks to Hairball 8, these guys habe been playing the US, so try to catch them live!
Uno siempre puede saber cuando una banda es Europea. Su sonido es mas maduro y estricto. Asmodeus prueba eso en este lanzamiento, un gran paso para ganar mas fans y expones su musica mundialmente. Algunas guitarras me recordaron a sus compatriotas The Cenobites ( Rotterdam) y sus tonos a medio tiempo, pero hay algunos tracks rapidos y furiosos para todos los gustos.
